The Emerson Stratos HX-1080 is a hybrid fibre optic /electrical connector, based on expanded beam (EB) fibre connector technology. In support of the deployment of HDTV, it uses lens protected fibres, and is designed to both meet and exceed the generic requirements of SMPTE specifications.
